At 17 mg/mL, every 10 units on a U-100 syringe is 1.7 mg of tirzepatide.
2.5 mg is 14.7 units, and 5 mg is 29.4 units. Use the calculator for any other amount.

How long will my vial last?
Uses the vial and dose from the calculator above.
Real vials can hold slightly more or less than the label says, and a little is lost in the needle.

Notes for 17 mg/mL
- At 17 mg/mL, 1 unit is 0.17 mg and 10 units is 1.7 mg.
- Listed doses up to 7.5 mg fit a 0.5 mL (50-unit) syringe.
- Listed doses up to 5 mg fit a 0.3 mL (30-unit) syringe.
Check the strength on every new vial
Units only mean something for one strength. If 50 units was 5 mg on a 10 mg/mL vial, the same 50 units from a 17 mg/mL vial is 8.5 mg, not 5 mg.
In July 2024 the FDA warned about dosing errors with compounded semaglutide, including mix-ups between mg, mL and units (FDA alert). The same math applies to any vial.
